Rhythmic Healing Circle™
One of our most highly-requested workshops, the Rhythmic Healing Circle opens with the creation of a "Circle of Unity/Circle of Thanks" where we experience the symbolism and importance of a circle. The emphasis is on our oneness, our interdependence, and our interconnectedness as well as on the virtue of gratitude despite our circumstances.
Circle facilitators offer a traditional Drum Call to clear the space of any negative energy and to invite the ancestors into gathering, receiving their blessing on the Circle experience. After an introduction to the various percussive instruments that will be used and emphasis on the importance and purpose of drum, dance, and song in African societies, we PLAY, each person adding her/his unique rhythmic voice to the base rhythm that is offered.
This powerful, healing experience ends with a closing ritual which reminds us of our oneness, of connection to the sacred, and offers us an opportunity to spread love. This workshop can include African dance.
